Valter Ventura (1979; Lisbon, Portugal) has a degree on Art History by the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon (2002). In 2005, he ended the Degree of Advanced Photography has a scholar of Banco Espírito Santo, at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual.
He’s a teacher of the Superior Course of Photography at the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, also cooperating with Ar.Co, Atelier de Lisboa and Fine Arts Faculty of Lisbon.
In 2008, he participated (in partnership with José Nuno Lamas) at the Photography Course of the 2nd Program of Creativity and Artistic Creation by Calouste Gulbenkian’s Foundation.
Between 2012 and 2015 he was responsible for the photographic documentation at Carpe Diem - Arte e Pesquisa, Lisbon.
He’s one of the resident artists at HANGAR - Centro de Investigação Artística.
