Born in Viseu in 1962, he lives and works in Porto.
He graduated in Painting from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto (ESBAP) in 1987 and has exhibited internationally since 1982.
In 1992, for the exhibition “Mute… life”, he founded the multimedia collective Mute Life Dept.
In 2003 he co-founded the Crónica media label. Collaborates with Miguel Carvalhais on the electronic music project @c.
He is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
