Alexandre Canonico's solo exhibition at KUBIKGALLERY São Paulo.
"Until a simple hole appeared in the plane, serving a specific function, only to transform everything around it. The power of the hole lies in philosophy and nourishes the dreams of psychoanalysis. It structures Lacan's thought through his understanding of the subject as lack. The contour organizes the space of desire, which orbits an impossible void that can never be filled. Heidegger's ideas were fundamental to Lacan. The philosopher envisioned the potter shaping a vessel with his own hands out of nothingness. The essence of the vessel does not reside in its outer form, but in the void it contains. Form merely circumscribes this inner nothingness."
