António Olaio




Pedro Tudela (1962,Viseu, Portugal)

Lives and works in Oporto.

In 1987, he completed the course in Painting at the Oporto School of Fine Arts (ESBAP), with a scholarship from Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2003 he completed the exams of pedagogic skills and scientific capacity at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Oporto University, where he also concluded his PhD on Art and Design in 2011. While studying at ESBAP he was co-founder of the Missionário Group and he organized national and international exhibitions of painting, mail art and performance. From 1995 to 1996 he was the author and host of the radio programmes Choose a Finger and Reduced Atmosphere at XFM radio station and he’s been a Dj since 1992. In 2000 he became a member of the Virose – Cultural and recreational Association. He was co-founder and one of the members of the electronic music project @c and co-founder and one of the members of the media label Crónica. He has solo and group-edited CD’s with MLD and @c groups, he has also collaborated with several national and international compilations.

He has been an assistant professor at the Oporto Fine Arts Faculty since 1999. He exposes regularly since 1980 in Portugal and abroad, in exhibitions, shows, performances and international art fairs. He has received several painting and drawing awards and he’s represented in several museums and particular national and international collections.
